How this site is funded, and everything it refuses to be funded by.
How FLSportsDesk is funded today
Reader support. FLSportsDesk currently carries no advertising and no sponsorships. The site's only revenue path is voluntary reader support through the Support links on our pages (Ko-fi). That is the whole list.
What we do not take
- No sportsbook money. No sportsbook advertising, affiliate relationships, revenue shares, or promotional arrangements of any kind. We cover betting markets as journalists, and the industry we cover does not pay us.
- No team, league, or athletic department money for coverage, tone, or placement (see Editorial Policy, Independence).
- No paid coverage. No one can buy a mention, a take, or a slant.
Rules if advertising or sponsorship ever runs here
- It is labeled as advertising or sponsorship, visibly, at the point it appears.
- Sponsored content is labeled as such and is never presented as news coverage.
- Advertisers and sponsors get no preview, veto, or influence over editorial content, and no access to editorial data.
- The sportsbook exclusion above is permanent: even if general advertising ever runs, gambling operators remain excluded.
- Any material change to this page's funding picture gets dated here.
